Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's) are now required for all Domestic and Commercial property either for sale, lease and rental. An Energy Performance Certificate is issued by a qualified and accredited independent energy assessor. For home sellers the Energy Certificate is included in the Home Information Pack as part of the home sale process.

DEA otherwise known as a Domestic Energy Assessor is an independent inspector who can conduct a survey of your home if it is for sale as part of the Home Information Pack,or, for property rental if you are a landlord. If you are an owner of Commercial premises then you will require the services of an independent Commercial Energy Assessor who is qualified to produce an EPC for Commercial Buildings.
